Le Saint-James Bouliac

Restaurant and hotel in a village | France, Bouliac

"Unique in the world:The Saint-James occupies buildings designed in 1989 by the famous architect Jean Nouvel"

Marie Borgel and Anthony Torkington, Maîtres de Maison, present their property:

The Saint-James occupies buildings designed in 1989 by the famous architect Jean Nouvel. They nestle in the delightful little village of Bouliac, in the heart of wooded grounds and a garden fragrant with citrus and antique roses. Inspired by the old tobacco drying lofts, four pavilions, linked by a gallery, create a modern pure space. Far away, you can see the Landes of Gascogne forest, the biggest collection of maritime pines in Europe. The gourmet cuisine served here is one of its major attractions. The chef at the Saint-James restaurant serves cuisine which is full of flavour and based on local market ingredients. The selection of wines from its outstanding cellar and its panoramic views of Bordeaux add the finishing touches. Nearby, Le Café de l’Espérance offers bistro cuisine served on the veranda in summer. An added attraction: the hotel gives you the opportunity to follow cookery classes at the Côté Cours cooking school.
